Today's cost
cutter match was held on a windswept, but warm, Jurassic lake. Weights were surprisingly low considering the
conditions as only very small fish were caught. Mick Nash came out on top with at least 50 fish for 4lb 11oz.
Chris Shore was second with 1lb 11oz and Mick Farmery third with 15oz.

Cost Cutter Match

Due to the
tree felling around Jurassic, today's cost cutter match was switched to Smiggies lake. Rob Smith again came out
on top (we need to tie one arm round his back lol) with 6lb 6oz and there was a tie for second with both Chris
Shore and Mick Nash weighing 3lb 7oz.

This week’s
cost cutter match was held on a wild and windy Sanctuary lake. In between the sleet showers Rob Smith again came
out on top with 10lb 8oz, just beating Mick Farmery with 10lb 1oz. Chris Shaw was third with 3lb 6oz.

This week’s
cost cutter match was held on a wild and windy BJ’s lake. Although the weather was milder the weights were
extremely disappointing. Rob Smith came out on top with 6lb 4oz, second Mick Nash with 7oz and third Alan Smith
with 2oz.

on Colver lake. There was a frost again on the morning which probably affected weights.
First place
went to Mick Farmery with 24lb 10oz, second Mick Nash with 14lb 12oz and third Chris Shore with 8lb
12oz.

match was held on Sanctuary lake. Although the weather was quite good for a change; weights were, again,
somewhat disappointing. Chris Shore came out on top with 7lb 11oz, second was Rob Smith with 6lb 11oz and third
Mick Farmery with 3lb 6oz.

This week’s
cost cutter match was held on Smiggies lake. Weights turned out to be disappointing possibly due to the ice only
melting on the lake the day before. Mick Nash and Chris Shore tied for first place with 1lb 12oz. Mick Farmery
finishing third with 1lb 9oz.

Broome Away
Day 23/1/22
This weeks Away Day was again at Peatling Pools, it was Lake "A" that was the chosen venue.
Keith Macfarlane who took the honours this week. Drawn on peg 12, Keith fished maggot on the Long
Pole to win the match comfortably with a weight of 65lb 6oz.
Gavin Norton was second of the eleven starters netting 25lb 5oz on peg 8. Third place going to
Paul Edwards on peg 35 with 20lb.

20/1/22
This weeks
cost cutter match was held on a cold, ice covered Jason's lake. After breaking the ice results were again bound
to be low but at least a few fish were caught. Mick Nash came out on top with 5lb 15oz, followed by Alan Smith
with 4lb 11oz and Chris Shore with 3lb 15oz.

match will be on Smiggies.

Today's cost
cutter match was held on a cold and frozen Jurassic lake. With the conditions as they were it was always going
to be hard, and so it proved. Andy Foster came out on top with 1lb 11oz, followed by Mick Nash with 1lb 8oz and
Chris Shore with 10oz.

Broome Away
Day 9/1/22
First Away Day of 2022 was arranged to be fished at Peatling Poools Lake "D". There were twelve
starters on a cold but clear day.
Mike Tyrer drawn on peg 19 was top man on the day netting a respectable total of 44lb 8oz. Most
fish caught fishing with maggot on the Long Pole. Second place went to Gavin Norton, not far behind, with 42lb
5oz. Most of Gavin's fish came in the early part of the match caught alternating between the Long Pole and the
Tip Rod.
There were Section wins for Den Porter, 38lb 11oz, on peg 22; and Steve Beckhurst with an
all Roach catch of 15lb on peg 15.

Today’s cost
cutter match was held on a cold, windy and wet Sanctuary Lake. At the draw the thermometer read minus 5 degrees,
then from midday we were subjected to high winds, rain and sleet. Obviously not the best conditions and weights
reflected this.
Alan
Smith managed to come out on top with 1lb 15oz, followed by Chris Shore on 1lb 7oz. Third place was shared
by Rob Smith and Mick Nash with 1lb 1oz
