Been on the banks at Kilworth again. Monday 28th April, the forecast was for overcast conditions, so, I thought I would fish Lizzies for Perch. After catching a small one first cast, my second cast connected me with a much bigger fish, which I then lost to an all too common hook pull.
My swim then went completely dead, so, off I went for a wander and to check some books. Later in the day, about 12:30-13:00, I had a good take, and the result was a 2lb 5oz stripy. Not much else happened then (apart from another small one) until about 5ish, when a ‘guzunder’ resulted in another big Perch at 2lb 1oz. I then went and lost another one in the weed (gutted) but did manage a bonus Carp of about 5lb, before packing up about 20:30. All fish caught on the ‘pin and float using prawn hook baits.
Been at Frisby on Jason’s again today (Sat. 19th April.) Caught a nice Tench of about 3lb (below) on float fished prawn using the ‘pin as usual. Also caught some Carp up to about 7lb on same method and also off the surface on floaters. Here are picture's of two carp (below) caught on 13th April 2014 at Frisby on Jason’s after Shawn and I had our match.
The common fell to float fished prawn....
