Fine win for Stu at Trotters

Ageing Superstar, Stu Killen , rolled back the years with a fine weight of 91lb 6oz to win Round Two of the Away League on Holly Farms Trotters Pool. Drawn on peg 20, Stu caught the bulk of his Carp weight by fishing with dead maggot in the nearside margins to lead the field by almost 40lb Thumbs Up.

Runner-up was Den Porter, on next peg 21. Den opted to fish the Method Feeder (As he is to tight to buy more than two pints of maggots ). Den caught well but was always trailing Stu. He changed to his nearside Margin swim in the latter stages to add a few fish, but Stu had rounded most of them up and Den had to settle for second place with 53lb 1oz.

Nearby on peg 18 Lee Nash also opted to fish an inside margin line and he ended just a couple of Carp behind Den, weighing in with 47lb for third place of the fifteen starters.

Section 1 went to Alan Hall with 41lb 12oz from peg 9. Mick Nash needed 30lb 12oz to win Section 2 from peg 15, and Malc Spring, on peg 24, took the third Section prize with  33lb 15oz.
