Derek wins at Jurassic

The story at the Pike League round two match, fished on Jurassic, was pretty similar to the Chairmans League match going on at the same time over on Smiggies.....In that all of the action took place in the opening hour of the competition! 

Five of the seven Pikers caught, but each only had one fish each with Derek Cramp taking first place with the biggest fish of the day at 5lb 8oz. Organiser Mick Geary landed a 4lb 10oz'er to take second place. Mariusz Kosakowski, fishing his first Broome Pike League match, coming in third with a small jack of 1lb 7oz.

It was a bit of a disappointing day after such a good start, and apparently, all of the lads were sitting on the bank together tucking into their sandwiches and tea after a couple of hours, having a good old chinwag.....Good to know that not all was lost!!
