Derek wins again

Derek Cramp won his second match in succession in round three of the Pike League, fished this week at Frisby Complex. Most of the eight lads fished for the entire match on Jurassic but a couple had a quick try on Sanctuary and B.J's to see if they could coax a bite or two, but to no avail. James Crabtree caught his 3lb 8oz pike in the early stages of the competition and, with five minutes left on the clock, thought he was about to scoop the pot. Derek had other idea's and with the clock fast approaching 3pm he hooked into a 5lb 8oz'er to snatch first prize again. The conditions were pretty good except for a sheet of ice covering the lakes at the start of the day! Doubtless the commotion caused by clearing enough ice just to make the fishing possible put wary old Esox on his guard...
